We all influence on a daily basis be it at home or at work. Wherever you have personal objectives to meet you have opportunities to influence those around you. It can be said that any communication that has an intended outcome can be considered an attempt to influence. In business especially, task focus and the achievement of outcomes with and through others is a continuous activity. As such, influence is pervasive, whether we are conscious of it or not and regardless of the label applied to it. Join us for an hour of influence and, using a short quiz, learn what styles you think you use. Understand why this is only half the story and what you need to discover about the other half of the story!
Price. Priorities. Schedules. Resource allocation.... many everyday decisions are subject to negotiation. Yet for most people, negotiation is not easy. Natural-born negotiators are rare. And few people consciously develop a consistently effective approach to negotiation on their own. This deficit in negotiation skills leads to personal frustration as well as incalculable losses in opportunity, efficiency, and productivity. Join us for an hour of negotiation and learn what the stages of negotiation are and how they help us manage conflict. Join us for an hour of negotiation and, using a short quiz, learn what stages you think you use and compare the results to the flow of how an effective negotiation really works.
